Think of the golf swing you make as a set of compensations, it is rarely a clean or 100% efficient swing. This does not mean that it is not very effective or could become so. BEWARE!
The reality, if you are looking for golf lessons or are already teaching golf lessons, is that you are on the path to finding a swing, either more efficient, or more effective.
Your physical shape has a lot to say in this regard. Normally players build a “comfortable” swing where the body says: that movement is not difficult for me, let's do it. Therefore, if you get your body in shape and improve your fitness, improving your swing is going to be much easier.
I have decided to leave the golf course and leave you the 10 exercises to GET IN SHAPE What you can do from home, without materials and in a very short time. There are many more, these are the ones I like the most. I make and mix them regularly every week.

The order of the exercises does not mean anything, you can do them in the order you want and you can combine them however you want. You don't necessarily have to do them all. Read until the end of the golf class because I will leave you some recommendations on how to plan for the week. The first exercise is:
SQUAT
The famous squats. If they are so well known and so recommended, it will be for a reason. I see it as a fundamental exercise for the golf swing. You are going to work on your lower body, the abdomen will also be involved. Relate them to your ability to establish and maintain good posture. Glutes and quads of steel for a better swing!
Two quick tips for doing a good squat: Make sure you keep your heels on the ground throughout the exercise and keep your head high while looking forward.

STRING WITH TWIST
Super exercise! I do it several times a week. Because I like? Because great lower body work is done FUNDAMENTAL FOR YOUR GOLF SWING In addition, it involves rotation. Remember that the golf swing is ROTATION. And that stride turn gives a point of instability to the exercise that makes it very interesting, helping you work on your balance. Do you want a balanced golf swing? I do. My main advice for this exercise is to take a good stride, make it long and deep.
LATERAL STRING
This is another exercise that I practice a lot. There is a lot of muscle in the pelvic area and hips involved. And it must be due to overuse, or because I'm already thirty-ten years old that my hips are no longer what they were HA HA HA. This lateral lunge helps me feel much better.
Make sure to spread your legs wide to begin the lateral lunge and drop gently to each side. Do a controlled descent.

BRIDGE

Additionally, with the extension work that is done, you are creating circuits in your brain that are fundamental for the golf swing. I really like this exercise, you have a progression of difficulty: do the bridge supported on one leg, working each side in isolation. You complicate it significantly. This way you can set different goals.
IRON
Multiple types of irons! There are possibilities for all tastes and levels. It is a very hard exercise, if done well. It is often said that you are not aware of how slowly 60 seconds pass until you do a 60-second plank. HA HA HA.

Push-ups, dips, push-ups... Did you know that some of the most important muscles for your golf swing are in the upper body? Pectorals and shoulders are the main protagonists of the movement to move the golf club. With this exercise you will develop them and make them strong. Include push-ups in your routines to get in shape every week. Follow the appropriate progressions, there are many ways to do them to adapt them to your level.
DOG - COBRA
Another of my non-negotiables in the weekly routines to get in shape. It is a combination of movements that will provide you: good control in the scapular area and shoulders, good mobility in the trunk and hip area.
It is an exercise that will not only improve your golf swing ability, it will also improve your quality of life. Especially if you are one of those who spends the day sitting in the office.

SUPERMAN
Strengthening your back, shoulders and glutes is essential to avoid injuries, be able to play more golf and do so with greater quality of movements.

Lying face down on the floor, raising your limbs and doing that wide arm movement will make you feel great. Your posture will thank you very much. Goodbye to the hump BYE, BYE!
COCKROACH
The name of this exercise is not the most beautiful, nor is it very inviting to execute it. Nobody wants to feel like a cockroach. But it is very graphic. In addition, it will provide you with control and abdominal toning that your golf swing will greatly appreciate.
A TIP: Make sure at all times that you are aware that your back is completely supported on the floor. Above all, do not create an arch in the lower back.

In order to make an efficient golf swing your hips must be well oiled. What does this mean? Basically, have good mobility in said area.
